HOW DOES THE EPICENTRE SUPPORT ITSELF?
The Epicentre supports itself through membership dues, CRD recreation grants, fundraising and program and drop-in fees.
Our income covers the running costs on the building, repairs, rent, hydro, phone line, bottled water, cleaning supplies, toilet paper, art supplies and the cost of providing programs, etc.
We endeavour to balance the cost of offering programs to families with the fees gained from them, but there is always some give and take on this. Sometimes we raise funds for a specific project. Sometimes the funds we raise are used to cover operating expenses.
